This is what arcade-style action is all about. Dungeon Fighter Online offers up blood, guts and glory in the grand tradition of quarter-feeding classics, manifesting all the aspects we have loved about the arcade in a single, modern game.Attack strategy is the name of the game here, mixing intricate key combos with fight skills to cause the most destruction and earn the highest scores possible. Perform intricate aerial assaults, for instance, timing your combos just right to create chain attacks that maximize your damage.
- Fight Alone: In single-player mode, your character stomps through one of hundreds of dungeon maps, dispatching all manner of monster in your path until you reach the boss level. Beating it will mean reward and advancement. Failure will mean returning to town shamed.
- Fight Together: In party-play mode, you and up to three other players rip through dungeons, unleashing your disparate skills on monsters in a strategic run for the level boss.
- Fight Each Other: In Player vs. Player mode, you challenge other players in one on one, two on two, or even three on three arena fights, as well as Tag Team and Elimination clashes. Battle it out for a chance to become a Legendary Dungeon Fighter.
The world of Arad had been peaceful and prosperous for centuries before agents of darkness descended upon it. Now it is in desperate need of heroes such as you to vanquish the evil scourge that has poisoned its forests, mountains and valleys. Arad must thrive again. However, the threat continues to grow, spreading even into the realm of the sky and oceans, and may even now threaten adjacent worlds. If you wish to survive against such a menace, you will need to seek training and advice from the heroes that came before you. They will guide you through the many quests that separate you from your ultimate goal.
- Quests: Thousands of quests, from the quick to the epic, lay before you. Some earn you items, some earn you skills…and some get you closer to the core of Arad’s evil plague. And ALL give you the experience to advance your level.
- NPCs: The population of Arad consists of peace-loving—though often quirky—characters, all eager to help you progress in your efforts to eradicate the darkness from their land.
- Monsters: No fantasy landscape would be complete without a healthy dose of villainy, and Arad delivers in spades. The underlings and bosses represent a panoply of the fantastical and the wicked, the next more powerful and frightening than the last.

- Character: Your first step into the world of Arad is choosing one of five character classes: Slayer, Fighter, Gunner, Mage or Priest. Each class can specialize further into a subclass, which opens up new ways to play.
- Skills: Dozens of Skills are available for each class, and even more open up when you choose a subclass, allowing for hundreds of Skill combinations.
- Gear and Apparel: As you adventure throughout Arad, you will find various pieces with which you can fill your ten gear slots. Some will be too powerful for you to use at that moment, some will be restricted to other classes…and some will be perfect for you. However, you can only carry so much, so you will have to decide which to use and which to save, store, trade, sell or just give away. You can also buy weapons and gear from various characters around town. And, a vast selection of clothing for your Avatar allows you to find the style that fits you best.
- Key Customization: The default controls are pretty intuitive, but if you have a different style of game play, you can customize every command key to fit it.
